07/27/2004 Entry: "I need money... just like everyone else" I could barely drag myself out of bed this morning. I am so exhausted, moreso than I have been in a long time. I was up late, doing bills, which is always depressing when money is tight. Good news is I had enough this month to catch up on all the late bills, so I won't have to worry about shutoff notices for at least another two months. I feel stupid, having a nice house, and then worrying about paying the bills. I keep wanting to explain when we got the house, costs were a lot lower. I would say the combo of our mortgage, utilities, and transportation have increased by about $700 a month in 4 years. Four years ago, I was almost $500 ahead, and had a growing savings account. Not fair.
